Our company receives boxes of broken phones as we recycle. Some of our phones are iphones, old iphones 4,5,5s, most are broke in some way. Some have broken glass, broken lcd, bad batteries. Almost all have icloud locked on the units. Yes we understand it helps people from getting there personal info off if its stolen.
In android cases if the unit was locked and stolen, thiefs can not do anything but reset the unit. In most cases, the unit is still with a BAD esn from the carrier.
We have tried for a long time to find a way to put android on a iphone. Yes, most would ask why, or no way it cant happen.
Units we receive broken are in most cases not stolen, but broken. Legit customers break there phones and upgrade for new ones.
This is when we get them, and replace the broken parts.
The BAD issue is if we invest money into new parts, the units still is not worth value because it is icloud locked.
Units that have BAD esn can be resold after fixed and used on other carriers.
We are trying to find new ways to recycle old phones, we try to find ways to put android on the unit.
After doing searching sites claim dual boot just to get visitors.
Then you go to the page and it shows a hack video of a april fools joke.
