Does Apple really make the Airpods as a throw away

Untitled Document

Does Apple really make the Airpods as a throw away

We will tell you in the recycling repair business Apple is not the easiest to deal with. Why do we say such, because of many products we see on a daily basis from Apple is not recyclable, or even easy to repair. As anyone who owns any Apple products, if you do not have Apple care, you may be stuck. Stuck with either selling your device for parts, or forced to upgrade, or forced to pay up. If you read our blog, we have covered Apple screens, Apple batteries.

Now the newest is the Apple Airpods, we have recently started to receive these, and they are not so good for our business. As in the article below, they have the same issue with these Airpods as well.

The problem - NOT Repairable, not really recyclable as well.

See the video below, as a easy explain to what we mean, the battery is glued all in the shaft of the Airpod, if you dare to try to remove the battery, BE CAUSTIOUS, as some have punctured the battery and we know what happens then, NOTHING good, So Be careful please.

Now unless you get these by the hundreds of thousands, there is not much material inside to recycle.

This we find great sad, as customers pend well over $100-$200 for a pair of Airpods today.

MAYBE Apple will offer a better pair in the future we hope.

Please see the video or read the article below for additional info.

Repair Iphone LCD Replacement, Please Be Careful Where You Buy Your Replacement

PLEASE people be careful ordering Iphone LCD replacements.

As a recycling company, we also provide services, replacement, repair to iphones. Over the years the main issues we have seen is dead batteries, cracked cameras, but the most of of course a cracked screen. Cracked screens is the number 1 issue we see. We have purchased hundreds of replacement LCDs for iphones.

We will tell you from experience, NOT all are the same.

When you go to buy a LCD if you plan on doing the repair yourself.

Its rather not hard at all to replace a LCD, and it becomes easier and faster the more times you do it.

The main issue we see with replacement screens is the poor quality made.

Yes, they functional, but for how long, and we have got a lot that had issues, dead pizels, burns, presses, before we installed them.

Which them comes the hassel of disconnecting, returing, most heartning telling a customer they have to wait.

NOW, as caustion, we keep 5-10 of each screen in stock at all times, starting out, it was touch and go.....

When choosing a replacement screen, you can either buy from a company that has enormous sales, and feedback, which is ok usually, BUT those are the ones we ussually have issues with. They are so big they buy huge amounts of cheap parts. Most of the time, its fine, a lot of times, we got the screen and something is wrong with it.

The going rating for replacment LCD for Iphone 4,4s,5,5s,6,6s,7,7plus is $2-$18 USD, and most of the time, they are functional, working well.

We usually try to NOW buy from a seller with moderate feedback(6000-20,000), and usually OEM quality which is usually a little higher $20-$25

Just our opinion, hope this helps you with you repair

Looks like the makers of the raspberry pi is doing the right thing with waste.

Looks like the makers of the raspberry pi is doing the right thing with waste.

E-waste is negative thing in society as we know. The chemicals, the materials used to make the electronics.

Is proven to harmful to the earth as well as humans. Along with the E-waste alone, is the packaging. Everyone knows who buys electronics today. whether is is a cell phone, pc, or any, is the packaging. Yes, of course the manufactures want to protect those expensive gadgets. However buying a new pc today leaves you with a box full of plastic wrapping, cardboard, zip ties, bubble wrap or Styrofoam.

That all ends up in landfills, unless you take to a processing facility or as we do, reuse in shipping used electronics for our bus.

Looking at the new raspberry pi, they were interested in using recyclable packaging.
